The Global Fund for Women was founded in 1987 by four strong women. They believe that every woman and girl is strong, safe, powerful and heard. No exceptions. They tirelessly work towards supporting women’s’ groups who work to win rights for women. This includes the right to vote, get paid fair wages, live free from violence, own property, get an education, and the right to choose when and if to have children, among many other critical issues women face daily worldwide. The Global Fund for Women knows that only when women have equal rights in every sense of the word, will economies and countries be transformed.
